QuietScan™ — one-page brief

Pre-seed · SAFE · Lawrenceville, NJ · EIN 39-5157789

1. Problem

MRI and EEG often fail children ages 0–5. About one in six U.S. children lives with a developmental disability. About one in 31 eight-year-olds is identified with autism. Families wait through the years when intervention has the most room to work.

Source: CDC.

2. Product

  • Wearable focused-ultrasound cap / helmet (in development)
  • 64 piezoelectric elements in 8 concentric groups
  • Intended session: under 5 minutes, no sedation, parent lap
  • Software: AI delay estimation and 3D activity map (in development)
  • Intended use: monitoring / mapping — not treatment, not diagnosis
  • Intended pathway: FDA 510(k) Class II diagnostic ultrasound

3. Stage

Pre-clinical. What exists today: intellectual property, MATLAB/ANSYS beamforming simulations, product renders, and CSIT-funded AI work. The wearable has not been fabricated. The device is investigational and not for sale.

4. IP

Seven U.S. provisional patent applications, including QuietScan and related mapping technologies. See patent filings.

5. Traction

  • $40,000 New Jersey CSIT Catalyst R&D voucher (AI software integration)
  • NIH SBIR Phase I application filed and under review
  • Academic validation cooperation with Montclair State University
  • Community sponsor: Mercer County Hispanic Association (MECHA) — technology-provider relationship for a pediatric access program njmecha.org
  • MATLAB / ANSYS beamforming simulations — not human clinical data

6. Team + hire plan

Siamak (Sam) Tayebi — inventor of QuietScan; founder and CEO. DBA candidate, Liberty University; MBA in Leadership (Embry-Riddle); Harvard Business School Online Launching Tech Ventures. Recruiting: Python software engineer and AI / machine learning engineer.

7. Ask + use of funds

Pre-seed SAFE. Company raise amount and valuation cap are in the confidential brief. This round unlocks, in order: helmet and electronics; independent bench and safety testing; AI delay-estimation and mapping software; quality and regulatory file for the intended 510(k) Class II path. A separate $125,000 line is the first-wearable hardware budget — not a live public offering.
